MISSOULA, MONT - The Missoula Osprey (17-17) host the Idaho Falls Chukars (19-15) to open a four- game series Saturday from Ogren Park Allegiance Field. First pitch is slated for 7:05 pm.

Set to take the hill for Missoula Saturday is right-hander Deyni Olivero (0-2). The 20-year-old owns a 3.10 ERA in six starts. In 29 innings, Olivero has 24 strikeouts and nine walks. In his most recent start, Olivero tossed six innings of one-run baseball in Idaho Falls July 15. The starter has five starts of five innings or more in his first season with Missoula.

His opposition for Idaho Falls is right-hander Jonathan Bowlan (1-1). The 21-year-old holds a 4.71 ERA in five starts. Bowlan has 13 strikeouts and four walks on the season in 21 innings. His last start came against Missoula July 14, where he threw five innings and gave up seven runs and 10 hits.

Missoula's offense jumped on Ogden starter Brett De Gus with four runs in the second inning, sparked by William Gorman's leadoff single in his Osprey season debut. Zack Shannon and Cesar Garcia walked, and Joe Robbins notched an RBI single. A David Sanchez single and an Ogden error brought home three more Osprey runs to push the lead to 4-0 after two.

Neither team could crack the scoreboard in the next four frames, due in large part to Tineo shutting down the Raptors offense. The right-hander allowed three hits and no runs through six innings. Tineo now has 16 consecutive scoreless innings after back-to-back outings of six frames without a allowing a run.

It took until the seventh inning for Ogden offense to get started as the away team tagged on five runs to take a 5-4 lead. James Outman, Niko Hulsizer, and Jacob Amaya all hit homers to put the Raptors ahead. However, the lead did not last long as they Osprey offense took charge in the bottom of the frame.

Garcia walked and stole second to start the inning, and Nick Dalesandro drove a single to right, scoring Garcia and tying the game. With one out, Geraldo Perdomo singled up the middle to drive home Dalesandro and give the Osprey a 6-5 lead. It was the first hit for Perdomo in an Osprey uniform as the 18-year-old transferred to Missoula earlier in the day.

The Osprey tagged on three more runs in the bottom of the eighth when Dalesandro laced a two-RBI double to right and another Ogden error plated a run, giving Missoula a 9-5 victory.

Perdomo, Robbins and Dalesandro each finished with two hits. Luis Castillo (1-0) threw 1.1 innings of scoreless relief for the Osprey to earn the win. Gregorio Sequera (0-2) is tagged with the loss.
