Orlando City SC News Release
ORLANDO, Fla. - Orlando City SC has signed goalkeeper Adam Grinwis to a one-year contract through 2023, it was announced today.
"We are very happy to have Adam continue as part of our project here in Orlando," said Orlando City EVP of Soccer Operations and General Manager Luiz Muzzi. "He is an important piece for us both on the field and in the locker room and we look forward to having him back in 2023."
Grinwis, 30, has appeared 11 times across two separate stints for the Club, posting 31 saves and one clean sheet, highlighted by the Lions' 2019 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup victory over
expansion rivals New York City FC, in which Grinwis made the game-winning save from the penalty spot, a denial of NYCFC's Maxime Chanot that sent City into the last four of the competition for the first time in its history.
After two seasons with the Lions from 2018-19, the Ada, Michigan, native returned in July 2021, signing a one-year contract with an option for an additional year.
