Orlando City SC News Release
ORLANDO, Fla. - Season Share and Major League Soccer (MLS) club Orlando City SC announced the launch of its proprietary technology platform today, with Orlando City becoming the first MLS team to offer the shared-season ticket technology to its fans.
Season Share's proprietary platform allows teams to offer increased flexibility to both current and prospective Season Ticket Members. Utilizing Season Share's best-in-class mobile experience, Orlando City Season Ticket Members can split an existing or new season ticket package by finding new fans or by inviting known fans directly through the platform. More information can be found at the link here.
"With flexibility and customization being two important factors to consumers, we were looking for the perfect partner to assist us with delivering this to our Orlando City SC fanbase. Season Share provides a platform for our current and future ticket members to split and share season tickets," said Orlando City Vice President of Sales, Christopher Spano. "Additionally, through their live Game Draft technology, our fans will be able to choose their games in a way like never before."
One of the most compelling aspects of the technology platform is the ability for City fans to choose the matches they want to attend by participating in a live "Game Draft". Just like fantasy sports, fans choose their matches in a snaking, round-robin style Game Draft which provides an interactive and democratic way for share partners to distribute the individual matches within a season ticket plan. After the Game Draft, all event tickets are automatically transferred to each fan's respective Orlando City Team Account Managers.
"Orlando City took an innovative approach and asked, 'How do we bring younger fans into the venue with a new, flexible product offering while retaining price integrity for our long-time Season Ticket Members?" said Aaron Holland, CEO of Season Share. "We worked closely with leadership in leveraging our technology to empower more Orlando City SC fans to become Season Ticket Members this season."
Key features of the Season Share platform include:
Existing Lions' Season Ticket Members can find new share partners on the platform or share their season tickets directly with known contacts
Similar to fantasy sports, fans can utilize Season Share's live Game Draft to choose the games they wish to attend
Direct integration with Orlando City's Ticketmaster ticketing system
Chat and Customer Service functions are available directly on the Season Share app
Desktop, mobile web and native mobile applications now available
