
Orioles Select Contract of RHP Armando Gabino from Triple-A Norfolk

The Orioles today announced that they have selected the contract of RHP ARMANDO GABINO from Triple-A Norfolk and placed RHP DAVID HERNANDEZ on the 15-day disabled list with a left ankle sprain.
Gabino, 26, was 7-0 with two saves and a 2.12 ERA (76.1IP, 18ER) in 27 games (seven starts) for the Tides. He was named the Organizational Pitcher of the Month for July after going 3-0 with a save and a 1.23 ERA (22.0IP, 3ER) in eight games (two starts).
Hernandez is 4-3 with two saves and a 3.29 ERA (27.1IP, 10ER) in 25 appearances out of the bullpen after making eight starts in the rotation to begin the season.
The Orioles now have a full 40-man roster with the addition of Gabino, who will wear #41.
