
Orioles Recall Olson, Option Birkins

The Orioles today announced that they have recalled LHP Garrett Olson from AAA Norfolk and optioned LHP Kurt Birkins to Norfolk.
Olson has been named to start Saturday's game against Boston at Camden Yards. He is 1-0 with a 3.86 ERA in two starts for the Orioles this season and 9-7 with a 3.16 in 22 starts for Norfolk.
Birkins has had four separate stints with the Orioles this season and has gone 0-1 with a 9.95 ERA in 7 games. He has gone 6-4 with a 3.34 ERA in 17 games including 16 starts for Norfolk.
