Albuquerque Isotopes News Release
For the second straight year, the Albuquerque Isotopes will call on the community to help bail out their fun-loving mascot, Orbit, as part of the fifth annual YMCA Arrest for Youth on Thursday, March 17, at the Mountainside YMCA. The yearly campaign provides scholarships to children and families in need of financial assistance for child care, counseling and teen activities.
Orbit will be one of many local "inmates" to be incarcerated for the worthy cause. Orbit, who will be arrested at 10 a.m., will have his bail set for $1,000. The event is sponsored by the Albuquerque Police Department and the Mountainside YMCA.
To participate in the fund raiser, please contact Rosie Matlock by phone at 222-4018 or via email at rosie@albuquerquebaseball.com. For more information about the event, please contact Stephanie Browne at the Mountainside YMCA at 228-2792.
