Ontario Takes 2-0 Series Lead with 7-2 Win

Ontario, California - The Ontario Reign scored four goals in the first 5:44 of the second period to open up a 1-0 game and beat the Utah Grizzlies 7-2 Wednesday night at Citizens Business Bank Arena; taking a 2-0 series lead in the best-of-seven opening round playoff series.

Ontario led 1-0 after one period after scoring 6:02 into the frame.

The Reign broke the game open with two power-play goals in the first 1:45 of the second period and scoring to make it 2-0 11 seconds into the frame.

Riley Armstrong scored both Utah goals going to the net to make it 6-1 and 7-2.

Ben Meisner relieved Shane Owen after the third Ontario goal.
