Ontario, CA - The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), visit the Stockton Heat tonight at 7:00 p.m. PT at Stockton Arena. Tonight is the 12th and final regular-season meeting between the two teams this season.
Ontario clinches the Pacific Division title tonight with:
(a) a win at Stockton, OR
(b) a San Diego regulation loss vs. Bakersfield, OR
(c) an OTL/SOL at Stockton AND a San Diego OTL/SOL vs. Bakersfield
Extinguish the Heat:
The Reign are 6-4-1-0 overall against the Heat this season, 2-2-1-0 in Stockton Arena and battled their Pacific Division rival in three of the last five games (1-2-0-0). The two sides last collided last Saturday in Stockton, falling 3-2.
Back-man to the Future:
Reign forward Sean Backman leads the series with eight points (five goals, three assists).
No Advantage in Opponents' Man Advantage:
The Reign have successfully gone 51-for-51 on the penalty kill over the last 14 games.
