
Ontario Reign Game Preview: Reign Close Three-In-Three Weekend Today against San Jose

Ontario, CA - The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), take on the San Jose Barracuda today at 3:00 at SAP Center in San Jose, California. Today is the second of 12 meetings between the two teams.
The Last Time We Meet:
The Reign and Barracuda collided last Saturday, October 24 at Citizens Business Arena in Ontario with the Reign skating away with a 3-0 victory. Forwards Andrew Crescenzi, Adrian Kempe and Michael Mersch registered goals and goaltender Peter Budaj picked up his third shutout of the season making 24 saves.
Unbeaten Kids:
The Reign and San Antonio Rampage (5-0-1-0) are the only teams in the American Hockey League without a regulation loss. The two teams battled against each other on Friday and last night in Ontario with the Reign suffering 3-2 and 2-1 overtime losses.
Shutdown Specialists:
Heading into today's contest, the Reign boast the best penalty killing record in the AHL at 93.9 percent (two goals against on 33 chances).
Picking Up Points:
Forward Adrian Kempe enters today's contest on a three-game point streak with one goal and two assists for three points.
Old Rivals Meet Again:
Last season, the Manchester Monarchs (Reign) and San Jose Barracuda (Worcester Sharks) met 12 times in the regular season as members of the AHL's Atlantic Division with Manchester earning an 8-3-0-1 record.
