LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The Ontario Clippers (6-2) continue their strong start, handing the Santa Cruz Warriors (5-1) their first loss of the Showcase Cup, 123-99, on Monday morning at Crypto.com Arena.

Moussa Diabate led all scorers with a 28-point, 10-rebound double-double on 11-of-16 shooting from the field. Diabte added 3 steals and 3 blocks on the afternoon. Xavier Moon followed closely behind with 20 points to go along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Jordan Miller added 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists.

The Warriors were paced by Jackson Rowe's 19 points off the bench, on 6-of-10 shooting from the field and 3-of-4 from distance. Trayce Jackson-Davis, on assignment from the Golden State Warriors, added 18 points to lead the Santa Cruz starting unit.

After Santa Cruz ended the opening quarter ahead by 1, Ontario began to pull away in the second, shooting 70 percent from the field (14-for-20) to take a 7-point lead into halftime. The Clippers hot shooting continued out of the break, as they shot 66.7 percent (12-for-18) in the third, leading by as much as 20 along the way. Though their shooting would cool off in the fourth quarter, the Clippers held the Santa Cruz to 7-of-20 shooting (35 percent) for the frame and extended their lead to as high as 26 on their way to the victory.
