One to Forget as Senators Drop 8-0 Decision to Close Series

The Harrisburg Senators were shutout Sunday afternoon 8-0 by the Erie SeaWolves. Erie scored a run on a leadoff home run in the first inning and four more in the fourth to break the game open. The Senators had two base runners on base at the same time just three times in the game.

The Big Plays

With the Senators shut out Sunday, the big play was the leadoff home run by Trei Cruz for Erie. That gave Erie a 1-0 lead, Erie then scored four runs in the fourth inning to break the game open.

On Capitol Hill

Five different Senator's pitchers appeared in the game starting with Michael Cuevas. Cuevas pitched the first 3.2 innings allowing five runs on five hits... Lucas Knowles, Alemao Hernandez and Jack Sinclair combined to go 4.1 scoreless innings. Tyler Beck pitched the final frame, allowing three runs and three hits.

With the Gavel

Harrisburg managed just three hits in the game coming from Jacob Young, Jack Dunn, and Frankie Tostado.

Filibusters

The teams traded shutouts last night and this afternoon... It was the sixth time the Senators have been shutout this year... The Senators went 4-8 on the twelve game homestand.

The Senators and Richmond Flying Squirrels play game one of their six-game series Tuesday from the Diamond in Richmond at 6:35 p.m. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Stations 96.5 FM, 95.3 FM, and 1400 AM beginning at 6:20 p.m.
