Round Rock Express News Release
One five-run inning outdid seven shutout innings to give the Wichita Wranglers a 5-2 win over the Round Rock Express.
RBI doubles by Chad Santos and Marco Cunningham - who went 4 for 4 - keyed the second inning uprising by the Wranglers (12-19). Outside of that, starter Ruddy Lugo (0-6) was fairly effective, shutting out Wichita in his other five innings of work. However, Danny Tamayo (1-4) was highly effective, limiting Round Rock to only six hits and one run in six innings.
John Tamargo, getting a rare start at second base, had a pair of hits for the Express (8-23) and drove in the first run of the game in the first inning.
The third of a four-game series will be tomorrow night at 7:05 p.m.
