Round Rock Express News Release
The Wichita Wranglers overcame a 4-0 deficit to down the Round Rock Express, 5-4, and break the Express' first multiple game winning streak. After winning the last two games against Tulsa, Round Rock had some momentum for the first time this year. Things looked even better after the Express jumped out to a 4-0 lead, including a home run by Anthony Acevedo.
However, the Wranglers slowly chipped away at the lead. Wichita scratched out a pair of runs in the fourth and then tied the game, 4-4, in the fifth. Chad Santos finished off the comeback by platting Tydus Meadows with the winning run in the eigth off of Greg Powell (0-4).
The loss spoiled a fine night for Mike Hill, who went 3 for 4. Tommy Whiteman and Acevedo also had two-hit games, including a home run each.
Buddy Carlyle (1-0) got the win in relief.
The four game series will continue tomorrow at 7:05 p.m.
