
On Sale Date For IceCats Playoff Tickets

WORCESTER, MA â The Worcester IceCats of the American Hockey League (AHL) today announced that tickets for the 2004 Calder Cup Playoffs will go on sale on Monday, April 12th at 12 PM. Tickets can be purchased at all Ticketmaster outlets, including Worcester's Centrum Centre Box Office or charge by phone at 508 or 617 931-2000. Discount tickets are available for groups of 15 or more by calling the IceCats at 800-830-CATS.
Ticket prices for the playoffs will be $16.00 for adults and $11.00 for children (ages 2-18) and seniors (65 or older). Worcester's Centrum Centre Box Office hours are 9:30 AM â 5:30 PM Monday through Saturday with special hours on event days.
For IceCats Season Ticket Holders, Game âA' is the first home game, Game âB' is the second home game and Game âC' is the third home game, and so on. The IceCats have four regular season games remaining, including Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at home. With the IceCats holding 85 points and several playoff scenarios still possible heading into the final weekend of the season, the tickets will be good for the best-of-three qualifying round hosted by Worcester and/or the division semifinals.
In 2003-04, a total of 20 teams, five from each division, will qualify for the AHL's postseason. The playoffs will begin with four qualifying series (one in each division), with the fourth place team playing the fifth place team in a best-of-three match-up, with all three games at the home of the higher-seeded team. These series winners advance to the Atlantic Division Semifinals. The best-of-seven division semifinals will match the first-place team with the qualifying series winner and the second place team with the third-place team. The series winners advance to the Atlantic Division Finals.
The IceCats conclude the regular season with home games on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights. All Centrum Centre games begin at 7:05 PM. Friday night is NASCAR Night with the #20 Tony Stewart Home Depot Chevy and the #18 Bobby Labonte Interstate Batteries Chevy on display. Saturday is Fan Appreciation Night with the first 1,000 fans receiving a Johnny Pohl Bobblehead. For tickets and information, please contact an IceCats ticket representative at 800-830-CATS.
