Ling Reassigned to Syracuse

Syracuse, NY (April 6, 2004) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have reassigned right wing David Ling to Syracuse.

Ling, 29, appeared in 50 games with Columbus this season, recording 1 goal, 2 assists and 98 penalty minutes. Ling has tallied 7 goals, 10 assists and 21 penalty minutes in 12 games with Syracuse this season. In 324 career AHL games with Saint John, Fredericton and Syracuse, Ling has recorded 104 goals, 196 assists and 965 penalty minutes. A native of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Ling was signed as a free agent by Columbus on July 7, 2001.

Syracuse continues their five-game road trip, stopping at St. John's tonight and Wednesday, April 7 for 6:05 p.m. (EST) face-offs.
