Omaha Beef fans can "meet the Beef" Sunday afternoon

Omaha, NE - Fans of the Omaha Beef, professional indoor football team, can "Meat the BEEF" Sunday afternoon from 2-5 p.m. at Bones, Brew and BBQ, located at 8045 S. 83rd Avenue (84th and Giles) in La Vista.

BEEF players, coaches, and staff will be in attendance. In addition, the Rump Roasters and Prime Dancers are scheduled to make special appearances.

Ross MacLane, General Manager of Bones, Brew and BBQ, said the event will have a BEEF theme.

"We're going to have different food and drink specials with Omaha Beef names that evening," MacLane said. "In addition, some of the BEEF players and Prime Dancers will serve meals to customers that evening. Players will also be signing autographs."

Fans who attend will the chance to register to win prizes. The "Meat the BEEF" event will be the team's second. The previous one was held at Heidelbergs in December. At that event, the team raised 6,035 diapers for the Diaper Drive to benefit the Lydia House of Omaha. Also, the new Prime Dancers and Rump Roasters were formally introduced for the first time.

The Omaha Beef opened their 2008 home season versus the Bloomington Extreme on March 15, 2008. All home games will be played at the Omaha Civic Auditorium. The Beef are a member of the United Indoor Football Association, the premier indoor football league in America.
