Olympic Gold Medalists to Appear at NTDP Game

PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Members of the gold medal-winning 2018 U.S. Olympic Women's Ice Hockey Team Hannah Brandt (Vadnais Heights, Minn.), Nicole Hensley (Lakewood, Colo.), Megan Keller (Farmington Hills, Mich.) and Amanda Kessel (Madison, Wis.) will appear at the USA Hockey National Team Development Program game Sunday, Dec. 16, at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan.
The contest between Team USA and Lake Superior State University starts at 2 p.m. ET, with doors opening at 1 p.m.
The women's team members will be on hand to participate in a ceremonial puck drop and autograph and photo opportunity session with fans starting during the first intermission.
At the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea, the U.S. women secured a thrilling overtime victory over Canada in the gold-medal game, which was decided in the sixth round of a shootout, to earn the program's second-ever Olympic gold medal and its first in 20 years.
The players are on-site to participate in the 2018 USA Hockey Women's Winter Training Camp, which will take place Dec. 17-21 at USA Hockey Arena. The annual training camp serves as an opportunity to help the top players prepare for upcoming international events, including the 2019 IIHF Women's World Championship.
