LAST GAME:

The RedHawks extended their winning streak to five games with a 6-3 win over the Isotopes in Albuquerque. German Duran had his first multi-hit game, Nelson Cruz drove in three runs, and Jarrod Saltalamacchia hit his second home run to provide the offense. Sidney Ponson left in the third inning, but the Oklahoma bullpen excelled. Kameron Low got the win, his first of the season, and Wes Littleton followed, earning his second hold. Frank Francisco notched his second save in as many chances.

FIVE STRAIGHT WINS:

The RedHawks five game winning streak is just one shy of their season-high run of six in 2007. Oklahoma won six consecutive games from June 26 through July 1, taking the final game of a series against Omaha at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark, winning three straight at Iowa, and then succeeding in the first two games of a series in Omaha. The RedHawks outscored their opponents 52-22 during the string of victories, winning 6-4, 11-5, 10-5, 11-3,11-3, and 3-2.

INJURY UPDATE:

Sidney Ponson is day-to-day after leaving yesterday's game in the third inning. The RedHawks starter was struck by a line drive off the bat of John Gall, and immediately left the ballgame. Ponson will throw a side session on Sunday, and his status will be determined after that.

RBI LEADER:

Nate Gold drove in one run last night in the RedHawks win to take sole possession of the league lead in the category with 10. Gold drove in 103 runs last season with Oklahoma, one year after driving in 103 for Frisco.

ON THE RISE:

The RedHawks team average is now seventh best in the league at .274. Prior to the start of the five game winning streak the team was hitting .221, third worst in the league. Oklahoma is hitting at a .319 clip since the streak began, with 51 hits in 160 at-bats.

ALBUQUERQUE AT A GLANCE:

The Isotopes drew 9,294 fans for their home opener Friday evening... Albuquerque has yet to win consecutive games this season... The 'Topes are hitting .254, 11th best in the league, and hold a team ERA 6.05, 14th best in the 16-team league... No Albuquerque starting pitcher had tossed six complete innings until Bob Keppel accomplished the feat last night... The Isotopes 2008 home opener was exactly five years to the day against the exact same opponent they faced in their inaugural 2003 season. The RedHawks won 5-3 that day, with Albuquerque's Nate Bump throwing the first pitch at Isotopes Park to Oklahoma's Jeff Pickler.

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION:

Texas lost to Toronto 8-5... Frisco beat Springfield 8-3... Bakersfield lost 8-2 at San Jose... Clinton had its game with West Michigan rained out. The LumberKings have not played a game since Monday due to inclement weather...

DOT-DOT-DOT:

Robinson Tejeda was outrighted to the RedHawks by the Texas Rangers, but he is currently on the temporary inactive list... RedHawks skipper Bobby Jones is now one win shy of 500 in his Oklahoma City managerial career. Jones spent two seasons at the helm of the 89ers in the mid-ninties, and is in his second stint as the manager of the RedHawks (499-512 record).

ON THE AIR:

Every game this season can be heard on the RedHawks Radio Network, led by broadcaster Jim Byers for the ninth season, and joined by Adam Marco during each homestand.
