TODAY'S OPPONENT:

The Salt Lake Bees are the Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Last season, the Bees finished first in the Pacific North with a record of 81-63.

VS. SALT LAKE:

The RedHawks and Bees split a four-game series at Franklin Covey Field last season. The RedHawks won the middle two games. The Hawks hit .277 with six home runs in the series. RedHawk pitchers had a 4.24 ERA and allowed only one home run. In '05 at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark, the teams split a four-game series.

TODAY'S GAME:

This is game 53 of the season. It's the third game of a four-game series and the third of four meetings between Oklahoma and Salt Lake this season.

LAST GAME:

The RedHawks ended their four-game losing streak with a 4-3 win last night. The RedHawks got another strong start from John Rheinecker, who pitched six scoreless innings. Ezequiel Astacio pitched the final 2.1 innings for the win after blowing a save in the top of the seventh.

ROSTER MOVES:

Jerry Hairston, Jr joins the RedHawks on an major league rehab assignment for Texas. Hairston started rehabbing with Frisco on Saturday, going 2-for-12 with a homer and two RBIs in three games. He was hitting .234 with a homer and 3 RBIs for Texas before pinching a nerve in his neck.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Jamey Wright

makes his first start for the RedHawks after being sent to Oklahoma on a major league rehab assignment. Wright made one start for Frisco April 5 and one for Texas April 10 before going on the DL. Jonathon Rouwenhorst takes the mound for the Bees. Last season, Rouwenhorst pitched one a perfect inning May 21 against the RedHawks.

REVOLVING ROTATION:

Wright is the 15th different pitcher to start a game for the RedHawks this season. The starters are a combined 13-20 with a 5.55 ERA on the season.

GO AWAY MAY:

The RedHawks are 11-17 in May after going 12-12 in April. The RedHawks have lost 13 of their last 17 games.

SCORING FIRST:

The RedHawks have scored the first run in eight of their last 11 games after scoring first last night on Nate Gold's three-run homer in the sixth inning. For the season, the RedHawks are 14-16 when they score the first run.

JASON BOTTS:

Botts has had a good month of May, hitting .352 with three home runs and 26 RBIs after going 1-for-3 last night. For the season, Botts is now hitting .282 with four home runs and a 40 RBIs. Botts is fourth in the PCL with 40 RBIs.

KEVIN WEST:

West is 15-for-40 (.375) with two homers and seven RBIs in his last 10 games after going 1-for-3 last night. West has started 10 games in a row.

BRICKTOWN SHOWDOWN:

The Triple-A Championship Game will be held Sept. 18 at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark. The champions from the PCL and IL will play a winner-take-all championship game.

DOT-DOT-DOT:

Rheinecker pitched the 17th quality start of the season for the RedHawks...The Hawks improved to 16-5 when a starter makes it through the sixth inning...RedHawk pitchers are last in the month of May with a 6.90 team ERA...The Hawks are tied for fouth in the month of May with 30 home runs after hitting just nine in April...the six, seven, eight and nine hole hitters are a combined 0-for-25 in the series with 15 strikeouts for the RedHawks......Botts has played in every game this season.
