HEAD COACHES: JEFF JARNIGAN is in his second season as head coach of the Yard Dawgz. Last season he led the team to a 10-6 regular season record and a first round playoff appearance. Prior to taking over the head coaching duties in Oklahoma City, Coach Jarnigan served as the defensive coordinator for the Austin Wranglers (AFL) during the 2004 season. From 2001 through 2003 Coach Jarnigan was the defensive coordinator for the Tulsa Talons. Under his defense the team won two National Conference Central Division Championships and the Arena Cup in 2003.
JOHN FOURCADE is in his first year as the Battle Wings head coach. But he's far from a rookie in af2. The former Ole Miss standout has had coaching stints with the Columbus Wardogs and coached the Florida Firecats to the af2 Arena Cup championship. He has also coached other indoor football teams.
LAST SERIES MEETING: The Yard Dawgz visited the Century Tel Center holding the number one spot in the af2 coach's poll on May 27th. The Battle Wings were 0-7. Final score, Bossier-Shreveport 53, Oklahoma City 50.

THIS WEEK'S QUOTES:
JEFF JARNIGAN, on the Battle Wings: "We know this is a team that plays hard, no matter what the situation is. They'll have some confidence coming off a win last week, and beating us earlier this year. We'll be ready for a tough battle."
DROPBACK: The Yard Dawgz dropped a 60-42 decision last Saturday at Central Valley. The Yard Dawgz had closed to within three points early in the fourth quarter. The loss left the Yard Dawgz in a first place tie with Tulsa for the Midwest Division.
FORWARD MOTION: The Yard Dawgz will host a playoff game on either Saturday August 5th (if they don't win the Midwest Division) or Saturday August 12th (if they do win the Midwest Division and receive a first round bye).
TEAM NOTES/TRENDS: The Yard Dawgz are looking for to set a franchise record with their 11th win of the year. Bossier-Shreveport is looking to end its season with its first two game winning streak.
