OKLAHOMA CITY, OK - The Oklahoma City Dodgers (13-4) downed the Iowa Cubs (4-13) 6-3 in the series opener, Wednesday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Taylor Davis led the I-Cubs, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run and an RBI.

Iowa was the first to cross home with a two-out rally in the third. Mark Zagunis began the effort with a single, scoring on a Bijan Rademacher double. Davis followed with an RBI single to make it 2-0 in favor of the I-Cubs.

Oklahoma City got one back in the bottom of the inning, getting an RBI single from Tim Locastro. The Dodgers then sped to six unanswered runs through the fifth. Rocky Gale collected a two-RBI single in the fourth, Travis Taijeron tabbed a two-RBI single in the fifth and Breyvic Valera capped the effort with an RBI single in the same frame. The I-Cubs scored a run in the ninth, but the comeback fell short.

Cubs No. 2 prospect Adbert Alzolay made his second Triple-A start, lasting 4.0 frames and allowing three earned runs. He was tagged with the loss, falling to 1-1 on the season. Randy Rosario contributed 2.0 scoreless frames in the sixth and seventh, allowing two hits, walking one and fanning three. He remains the only Iowa Cub with a 0.00 ERA on the season.
