Today's Game: Following the off day, the Aces head to Sacramento looking to build off their last series win in the 916. Right-hander Kris Medlen will be on the mound for Greg Gross and square off against Giants righty Tyler Beede. Medlen is looking for his first win as a member of the Aces.

About Last Night: Reno is riding a two-game winning streak entering tonight's contest. Ildemaro Vargas, Cesar Puello and Yasmany Tomas each had two hits in their last outing against Fresno. The Aces defeated the Fresno Grizzlies 3-2, scoring all three runs in the bottom of the 8th inning.

Good Parenting: The Arizona Diamondbacks are off to a historic start in 2018. Armed with a16-6 record, the D-backs have the second most wins in Major League baseball. Only the Boston Red Sox (17-5) have a better record. Former Aces southpaw Patrick Corbin was recently named NL Player of the Week for his two performances that included a one-hit shutout of the San Francisco Giants. For the week, Corbin went 2-0 with a 1.20 ERA, 0.33 WHIP and 19 strikeouts in 13.0 innings.

Reno's 150th Birthday: Tickets are now available for "The Biggest Little Birthday" Reno 150 celebration and Aces game on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Greater Nevada Field. The event starts at 4:00 p.m., and gates open at 5:00 p.m. The year-long celebration will come to an end at Greater Nevada Field with all tickets being FREE. Fans can pick up tickets at the following locations: The Children's Cabinet, Eldorado Resorts Reno, Harrah's Reno Total Rewards Desk, Nevada Humane Society, SPCA Shelter, and Western Nevada Supply Showroom.

Home Cooking: The Aces have struggled to find their offense on the road thus far in 2018. As a team, they are batting .214 with six home runs and 10 doubles in seven games played. At Greater Nevada Field, the Aces are batting .275 with 11 home runs and 18 doubles through 12 games. Anthony Recker and Michael Perez are the lone Aces players with batting averages above .300 when playing on the road.

Return of the Mac: Reno will look to slow down the hottest hitter in the Pacific Coast League, Mac Williamson, during this five-game set. Williamson is batting .487 in 11 games with 19 hits, six home runs and 16 RBI. Against Reno, Williamson went 2-for-8 and scored five runs in two games played.

All For Our City: Reno 1868 FC takes on OKC Energy FC on Saturday at 6:45 p.m. at Greater Nevada Field. 1868 FC is coming off their first win of the 2018 season and boasts this week's USL Player of the Week Danny Musovski. Saturday's matchup is a rematch of the first round of the 2017 USL Cup playoffs.

Head-to-Head: The Reno Aces have not lost a season head-to-head matchup against Sacramento since 2013. Last season, Reno went 8-7 against Sacramento en route to a Pacific Coast League Northern Division championship. All eight wins were earned by a different Aces pitcher and offensively, Socrates Brito went 13-for-34 with seven extra-base hits.
