Today's Game: The Oklahoma City Dodgers return home to open a five-game series against the Iowa Cubs at 7:05 p.m. The Dodgers will put their 7-0 home record on the line tonight, as OKC is off to its best home start since Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark opened in 1998.
Last Game: The Dodgers suffered a second straight loss, leaving 12 runners on base in a 3-2 defeat Monday afternoon in New Orleans. The game started out as a pitcher's duel, with each starting pitcher retiring nine of 11 batters faced through three innings. New Orleans' Sandy Alcantara was the first to blink, allowing a home run to Alex Verdugo in the fourth inning, giving the Dodgers a 1-0 lead. Dodgers starting pitcher Manny Bañuelos dealt four no-hit innings, retiring 12 of the 14 batters he faced, including nine via strikeout. The lefty walked one batter and hit another with a pitch, but had to exit after the fourth inning due to a blister on his left thumb. The Baby Cakes got the offense going after Bañuelos left the game in the fifth. With two outs, Alcantara collected his first career RBI with a double to deep right field to even the score. Cristhian Adames gave the "Cakes their first lead with a two-run homer off C.C. Lee (1-2) in the sixth. Still trailing, 3-1, in the ninth, the Dodgers rallied, loading the bases for Henry Ramos, who drew a walk to pull the Dodgers within one run and keep the bases loaded, but Rob Segedin flied out to end the game. New Orleans reliever Severino Gonzalez (1-0) picked up the win, and Jumbo Diaz earned his third save.
