Today's Game: The Oklahoma City Dodgers open a four-game home series against the New Orleans Zephyrs at 7:05 p.m. at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Tonight marks the Dodgers' first game since Friday night after Saturday and Sunday's games in Omaha were postponed due to inclement weather. The Dodgers seek their sixth win in the last eight games.

Last Game: Back-to-back bases-loaded walks in the top of the 12th inning by Elian Herrera and Rico Noel broke a tie, and a sliding catch in the bottom of the inning by James Ramsey ended the game with the bases loaded, as the Dodgers defeated Omaha, 5-3, Friday night at Werner Park. The Dodgers took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on a RBI double by Zach Walters. O'Koyea Dickson extended the lead in the second inning when he sent a line drive into the left field bleachers for his first home run of the season. Down 3-1 in the eighth, the Storm Chasers tied the game on back-to-back home runs by Jose Martinez and Brett Eibner. The Dodgers had multiple chances to go back in front before finally converting in the 12th. The Storm Chasers loaded the bases with one out in the 12th, but Luis Avilan (SV, 1) retired the next two batters to close out the game. With two away, Whit Merrifield sent a fly ball to right field, and Ramsey -- who had just entered the game -- made a sliding catch near the foul line. Chin-Hui Tsao (1-1) picked up his first win of the season after holding the Storm Chasers scoreless in the 10th and 11th innings. Omaha reliever Malcom Culver (1-1) was charged with the loss.

Against the Zephyrs: 2016: 0-0 2015: 12-4 All-time: 153-132 In OKC: 81-62

This marks the first series of the season between the teams...The Dodgers won the 2015 series, 12-4, and defeated the Zephyrs in 10 of the final 11 meetings. The 12 victories tied OKC's record for most wins accumulated in one season against New Orleans (1999)...OKC went 6-2 both at home and on the road against the Zephyrs last season...O'Koyea Dickson hit .404 (19x47) and Corey Seager hit .365 (23x63) with a team-leading 23 hits in the series...OKC held New Orleans to just three home runs over the 16-game series, while OKC racked up 10 homers ...OKC has won the last two season series between the teams and has lost just one season series against the Zephyrs since 2006.

Can We Play Now?: With rainouts in Omaha each of the past two days, it's the first time OKC has had consecutive games postponed since May 3-4, 2013 at Iowa, when a combination of snow and rain prevented the team from playing. Yesterday's rainout will be made up Sept. 3 in Omaha, and Saturday's rainout will be made up in Oklahoma City, although an official date has yet to be selected.

Streaking Segedin: Rob Segedin tied a career high with four hits Friday night and extended his hitting streak to a career-best 13 games. It was the third four-hit game of his career, and his first since May 8, 2014 for Double-A Trenton vs. Reading. He also scored three runs for the second time in the past four games...During the streak Segedin is batting .444 (24x54) with 11 extra-base hits, 10 RBI, 14 runs scored and seven multi-hit games. Although his RBI streak was halted at six games Friday night, Segedin has scored at least two runs in five straight games (12 total)...Segedin is currently tied for ninth in the PCL with a .359 average and his 28 hits rank tied for eighth. His four triples pace the PCL and his 13 total extra-base hits are tied for fourth-most in the league. His .679 slugging percentage and 53 total bases both rank third in the league.

How the West was Won: Matt West leads PCL relievers with an average of 3.86 baserunners per nine innings and is one of four qualifying relievers yet to allow a walk this season. He has retired 26 of the 30 batters he's faced and has accumulated 11 strikeouts over 9.1 scoreless innings.

Comings and Goings: Earlier today, reliever Sean Burnett elected to opt out of his minor league contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers and was officially released. The lefty made seven appearances and allowed three runs (two earned) and eight hits over 7.2 IP. He recorded five strikeouts and issued six walks...Logan Bawcom was added from Double-A Tulsa to take Burnett's place on the active roster.

Kontakt Issues: Over 12 innings Friday night, the Dodgers struck out eight times, marking the first time they had fewer strikeouts than innings played in a game since April 20 (eight games). Even though they have not played the last two days, they still lead the PCL with 217 strikeouts this season (10.33 per game) and have 18 more than the Reno Aces, who have played two more games than OKC. Overall, they have struck out at least 10 times in 12 of the first 21 games of the season...On the other hand, the Dodgers pitching staff notched its second game with at least 15 strikeouts Friday night and their ninth double-digit strikeout game overall. They currently rank fourth in the PCL with 187 strikeouts this season.

Odds and Ends: OKC finished with a winning record in April for the fifth consecutive season (12-9)...The Dodgers allowed 11 home runs over six games during their recent road trip. They had allowed six home runs total over their first 15 games. OKC has allowed at least two homers in four of the six contests, including each of the past two games...Alex Hassan has hit safely in eight of his last nine games, going 10-for-31 (.323)...Austin Barnes has reached base safely at least twice in five straight games, as well as in eight of 10 games overall since joining OKC (.469 OBP)...Elian Herrera is 0 for his last 17, but he has drawn six walks during that stretch...The Dodgers are 4-2 in series openers, including 1-1 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
