Today's Game: The Oklahoma City Dodgers open a series against the New Orleans Baby Cakes at 7 p.m. at The Shrine on Airline. The teams are scheduled to play six games over the next five days. The Dodgers have lost five straight games for the first time since July 31- Aug. 4, 2016 and are trying to avoid a six-game losing streak for the first time since May 22-27, 2016.

Last Game: Nashville scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning on the way to a wild 10-9 win against the Dodgers in a back-and-forth game Thursday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The Dodgers led, 9-7, entering the ninth of a game that included six lead changes. OKC scored in six of nine innings and outhit the Sounds, 15-13. OKC took an early 1-0 lead and added two runs in the second inning on a two-run single by Andrew Toles. The Sounds took a 5-3 lead in the fourth, scoring five runs, including two home runs. The Dodgers took the lead back in the bottom of the inning. Connor Joe tripled to score two runs for OKC and tie the game, then scored on an errant Sounds throw to put the Dodgers in front, 6-5. Nashville's Steve Lombardozzi hit a two-run single in the fifth to regain the lead at 7-6. The Dodgers scored a run in each of the sixth, seventh and eighth innings to jump in front. Henry Ramos drew a bases-loaded walk in the sixth to tie the game. Angelo Mora homered to give OKC an 8-7 lead in the seventh. Travis Taijeron then homered in the eighth for a 9-7 OKC lead. In the top of the ninth, Nashville's Anthony Garcia hit a RBI single and Beau Taylor hit a two-run triple to give the Sounds a 10-9 lead. Dodgers reliever Joe Broussard (4-2) pitched the ninth and was charged with the loss. Nashville reliever Danny Coulombe (1-1) picked up the win. Ryan Dull retired all three Dodgers he faced in the bottom of the ninth for the save.

Today's Probable Pitcher: Daniel Corcino (2-0) makes his ninth start for the Dodgers tonight...He looks to rebound from his last start June 23 at Omaha, during which he allowed a season-high four earned runs over 3.0 innings, matching his shortest start of the season. He allowed five hits and three walks with four strikeouts. The Storm Chasers hit two homers within the first four batters after he had allowed just one home run all season...Corcino had his contract selected by Los Angeles June 9 and made his first ML appearance since Sept. 2014 that night with a 1-2-3 inning against Atlanta. In his next outing June 12 against Texas, he picked up his first career ML save, allowing two runs (one earned) and two hits over 3.0 innings...He has allowed one or no earned runs in six of his eight starts with OKC. Opponents are batting .200, and the Dodgers are 7-1 in his starts...He split 2017 between High-A Rancho Cucamonga, Double-A Tulsa and Double-A Tennessee (Cubs). He was released by the Cubs April 27, 2017 and signed by the Dodgers May 11, 2017...Corcino made his MLB debut Aug. 26, 2014 for Cincinnati against the Cubs and made five appearances (three starts) in the Majors in 2014...He originally signed as an amateur free agent with the Reds Jan. 11, 2008...Tonight is his first career appearance against the Baby Cakes.

Against the Baby Cakes: 2018: 4-2 2017: 6-9 All-time: 173-149 At NO: 80-79

The Dodgers and Baby Cakes meet for their third series of the season and second in New Orleans...The teams are playing a six-game series to make up a game postponed due to rain April 22...The Baby Cakes won both games in the rain-shortened series April 21-23 in Metairie, La. The Dodgers scored a total of two runs on 13 hits...It was a stark contrast from the first series April 13-16 in OKC, when the Dodgers swept the series and outscored the Baby Cakes, 29-18, and outhit New Orleans, 56-32, while closing the series with three straight walk-off wins...New Orleans won the 2017 series, 9-6, marking their first season series win against OKC since 2011 and just their second against OKC since 2006...The Dodgers went 3-4 in New Orleans last season, marking the first time since 2011 OKC had a losing record at the Shrine on Airline...Going back to last season, the Dodgers have lost five of the last six games in New Orleans, scoring a total of seven runs in the process.

Fantastic Four: Yesterday four Oklahoma City Dodgers were named to the 2018 Triple-A All-Star Game: starting pitcher Manny Bañuelos, catcher Rocky Gale, relief pitcher Pat Venditte and outfielder Alex Verdugo. It's the second straight year and third time in the last four seasons the team has had four representatives selected to the Triple-A All Star Game, which is tied for the most in the team's PCL era...The 2018 Huntington Bank Triple-A All-Star Game presented by Gildan is Wednesday, July 11 at Huntington Park in Columbus, Ohio.

June Swoon: Following a 5-3 win over Las Vegas on June 17, the Dodgers stood a season-best 17 games above .500 with a 41-24 record. Since then, they have proceeded to lose eight of 10 games, and their first-place lead in the American Northern division has dwindled from 6.0 to 1.5 games ahead of Colorado Springs. During the last 10 games, the pitching staff has posted a 5.40 ERA and opponents are batting .308 while scoring five-plus runs in seven games (54 runs total). The offense during that same time is batting .257, including .211 with runners in scoring position, while scoring 40 runs (4.0 per game).

For Whom the Bell Toles: Andrew Toles has notched three straight multi-hit games, going 7-for-12 with three doubles and four RBI. He's also collected two hits four times in his last five games, batting .450 (9x20) during that time. Prior to the recent hot streak, Toles was batting just .224 (13x58) over his first 15 games coming off the Disabled List June 5.

Cup of Joe: Connor Joe is off to an impressive start over his first six games at the Triple-A level. Since joining OKC June 21, Joe is 6-for-17 with three extra-base hits, four RBI and five runs scored. Last night he went 3-for-5 with a two-run triple and reached base four times...Between OKC and Double-A Tulsa, Joe is slashing .309/.429/.566. He leads all Dodgers qualified minor leaguers in OBP and is second in SLG.

Give Me Some Mora: Angelo Mora homered in the seventh inning Thursday and has now hit safely in six straight games and in 16 of 19 games this month. He ranks sixth in the PCL with a .463 OBP since rejoining OKC June 3. During that span, Mora is batting .382 (26x68) with a team-best 20 RBI...In his first 14 games with OKC April-May, Mora batted .189 with one walk. This month he's drawn a team-leading 11 walks.

Around the Horn: Yesterday marked the first time the Dodgers were swept in a four-game series since May 23-26, 2016 at Fresno. It's the first time they were swept at home in a four-game set since June 2-5, 2015 vs. Sacramento and the first time Nashville swept a four-game series in Bricktown in 17 years...Travis Taijeron homered last night and has now hit safely in six straight contests (6x23), tying his season-long hit streak, first set May 17-23...After allowing five runs over his first two appearances with OKC, reliever Logan Ondrusek has strung together five straight scoreless outings totaling 8.1 innings, allowing six hits and one walk with 11 strikeouts...Fellow reliever J.T. Chargois has allowed one run over his last six games, totaling 9.2 innings. During that time opponents are 8-for-34 with eight strikeouts and two walks...The Dodgers' 15 one-run losses are second-most in the PCL. Nearly half of their 32 total defeats have been by one run (47 percent).
