The Albuquerque Isotopes defeated the El Paso Chihuahuas 10-3 Friday night in their first visit to Southwest University Park this season. It was the first game of a five-game series.

The Chihuahuas' three runs came in on scattered RBI singles by Carlos Asuaje, Raffy Lopez and Luis Urias. Jonathan Aro had a perfect relief outing in the loss, retiring all six batters he saw. Kyle McGrath allowed one run in 2.1 innings, ending a stretch of 12 consecutive scoreless outings for the Chihuahuas' reliever.

Franmil Reyes reached base three times for El Paso Friday on a single and two walks. After double-digit hit totals in four of their last five games, the Chihuahuas were held to five hits Friday. Shane Peterson went 0-for-3 with a walk, ending his nine-game hitting streak.
