From the Notes

58 and Counting: Nick Martini extended his on-base streak to 58 games with a single to lead off last night's game. He's hitting .338 (72-for-213) with 37 runs, 35 RBI, 12 doubles, 2 triples, 5 home runs and 39 walks during the streak that is the longest in Minor League Baseball. The 58-game streak is the longest by a Nashville Sounds player in the Pacific Coast League era. Since MLBAM began tracking on-base streaks in 2009, Martini's 58-game streak is the 2nd-longest in professional baseball. The longest on-base streak in professional baseball since 2009 belongs to Andrew Velazquez of Single-A South Bend when he reached in 74 straight games in 2014.

All-Star Matchup: Tonight's pitching matchup pits a pair of Pacific Coast League All-Stars against each other. Nashville's James Naile will make his first career mid-season All-Star appearance while Omaha's Trevor Oaks makes his second. Oaks was named a 2016 Texas League All-Star with Dou-ble-A Tulsa. These two right-handers squared off against each other on April 21. Oaks got the better of Naile and picked up the win by allowing just two runs on four hits in seven innings in Omaha's 3-2 win. Naile gave up five runs (three earned) on six hits in five innings. The outing snapped Naile's 18.1 inning scoreless streak to begin the season. Naile is ranked by MLB Pipeline as Oakland's #23 prospect and Oaks is Kansas City's #13 prospect.

Strive for Five: With their four-game sweep of Oklahoma City, the Sounds are riding a four-game winning streak and have the chance to match a season-high five game streak if they can come out vic-torious tonight. Nashville won five straight from April 14-19 with three wins over the Storm Chasers and two over the Iowa Cubs.

Against Omaha: The Sounds and Storm Chasers have had a very even series history in the Pacific Coast League. Omaha leads the all-time series by a narrow margin of 149-146 and took nine of 15 from the Sounds in 2017. The Sounds have won four of the seven games this season against the Storm Chasers. Omaha has the edge 78-70 in games played in Nebraska.

Got the Brooms Out: The Sounds completed their first sweep of the season with their come-from-be-hind victory last night. It was the first time the Sounds swept an opponent since September 1-4, 2017 when they took all four games of their series against New Orleans to close out the 2017 season.

Rare Win: Last night's win was Nashville's first of the season when trailing after eight innings. The Sounds entered the ninth inning down 9-7 before Anthony Garcia's RBI single and Beau Taylor's two-run triple gave the Sounds the 10-9 victory. The Sounds are now 1-38 when trailing after eight innings.
