Oilers Host Free Agent Camp
June 30, 2009 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Tulsa Oilers News Release
The Tulsa Oilers will host their second annual free agent evaluation camp August 20-22 at the Oilers Ice Center. Last year's camp had several prospects attend Central Hockey League team training camps. Oilers coach Bruce Ramsay will oversee the camp, and coaches from other CHL teams, the International Hockey League, ECHL, and Southern Professional Hockey League have been invited to the camp as well. "With this group of scouts and coaches, it's a great place for players to get maximum exposure," Ramsay said. "There's going to be plenty of opportunity for them to show how they can play, and probably get invited to someone's training camp." Ramsay said each player will be guaranteed a minimum of two games, and one practice that will be observed by the scouts and coaches who are looking to sign players. Players interested in the camp can reach Ramsay through the Oilers office at 918-632-7825. They can also email him at bruce@tulsaoilers.com. Cost for the camp is $250 with a $100 deposit, and the camp will fill up on a first come first serve basis. Ramsay encourages players to register early, to assure entrance into the camp. "It's a fantastic opportunity for players," he said. Registration deposits should be mailed as soon as possible to Tulsa Oilers Hockey, 9128 E. 46th Street, Tulsa, OK 74145. Season tickets for the Oilers 2009-10 season and their three year super saver plan in the BOK Center are available by calling the Oilers at (918) 632-PUCK (7825).
