Oilers Football Continues to Strengthen Defense

Tulsa, Okla. - Tulsa Oilers Football, proud member of the IFL, announced Wednesday the signing of defensive back Kelvin Jenkins.
Jenkins (28) reunites with head coach Marvin Jones after spending the past two seasons with the Omaha Beef. The former CIF defensive back, alongside current Oilers teammate Tyler Jones, was a part of the 2021 VI Championship-winning team. During his career with the Beef, the 5'10, 200 lbs. secondary weapon compiled 64 tackles, two tackles for loss, two interceptions and seven pass deflections.
"Kelvin has good size and is a smart player," said head coach Jones. "He knows my system, which will allow him to be a leader and help other guys out."
Before his time in Omaha, the talented Gainesville, Florida native played his college football at Jacksonville University, playing three seasons with the Dolphins. In 30 games, he compiled 62 tackles, one sack, one fumble recovery, two interceptions and four pass deflections.
With this announcement, the Oilers announced roster now includes James Summers(QB), Deonte Cruse(OL/DL), Maliek Stephens(RB), Dominic Logan(OL/DL), Christopher Ivy(OL), Eric Sadler(DL), Jeremiah Harris(WR), William Auwae(OL), Tre Harvey(LB), Jamon Langford(WR), Kazon Edwards(LB), Tre King(RB), Bobby Froehlich (QB), Ja'Davien Williams(DL), Joshua Robinson(RB), Tyler Jones(WR), Myles Tease(WR), Caleb Wells(DL), Kevin Moore(DB) and Kelvin Jenkins(DB).
The Oilers will begin their inaugural season in 2023.
