Oilers Assign Four Players To Springfield

The Edmonton Oilers trimmed their roster by five Sunday, leaving the club with 27 players. The following players were assigned:
Assigned to Springfield (AHL): Devan Dubnyk (G), Taylor Chorney (D), Rob Schremp (C), Kip Brennan (LW)
Assigned to Regina (WHL): Jordan Eberle (C)
The Falcons open their 2009-10 regular season schedule on Saturday, October 3 when they host the Portland Pirates starting at 7:00 pm at the MassMutual Center. The Falcons will be entering their 16th American Hockey League season and third year with their National Hockey League affiliate, the Edmonton Oilers.
