Moose reduce roster by 12 and receive 8 from Canucks

The Manitoba Moose today announced they have reduced their roster by 12 players, while receiving eight on assignment from the Vancouver Canucks. As a result, the Moose now have 25 players on their roster.

The following players were assigned to Manitoba by Vancouver:

Nolan Baumgartner Defence

Alexandre Bolduc Centre

Mario Bliznak Centre

Guillaume Desbiens Right Wing

Michael Grabner Right Wing

Nathan McIver Defence

Matt Pope Right Wing

Cory Schneider Goaltender

The following players were released from the Manitoba Moose:

Rejean Beauchemin Goaltender

Ryan Del Monte Centre

Maxime Lacroix Left Wing

Adam Munro Goaltender

John Swanson Left Wing

Andrew Thomas Defence

The following players were assigned to their respective teams by Manitoba:

The Moose will then open their 14th regular season on Friday, Oct. 2nd with their home opener against the Houston Aeros at the MTS Centre. Gametime is 7:30 p.m. All fans who come to the game will receive a free Manitoba Moose fridge magnet schedule while three lucky fans will win a Manitoba Moose Hardcore Hockey Bar Fridge. Everyone will also get one last chance to reminisce on the 2008-09 season when the Moose unveil a series of banners.
