
Oil Kings Reassign Forward Hayden Wheddon

Edmonton, AB - The Edmonton Oil Kings have reassigned 2005-born forward Hayden Wheddon to the Selkirk Steelers of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, the club announced today.
Wheddon, 16, was selected by the Oil Kings in the ninth round, 196th overall, of the 2020 WHL Prospects Draft.
The Stonewall, MB product appeared in three games with the Oil Kings, registering one goal and a +2 plus/minus rating. This season, he played in all four of the Oil Kings pre-season games, registering one assist and a -2 plus/minus rating.
The Edmonton Oil Kings next home game is their regular season and home opener against the Red Deer Rebels on Friday, September 23 when they will raise their 2021-22 WHL Championship banner to the Rogers Place rafters.
