Oil Kings Defeat ICE 7-2

Cranbrook, B.C. - The Kootenay ICE dropped a 7-2 decision to the Edmonton Oil Kings on Friday night at Western Financial Place.

The visitors scored the first seven goals of the game before the ICE would answer with two of their own. Vladimir Alistrov, Quinn Benjafield, Trey Fix-Wolansky, Conner McDonald and Carter Souch all recorded two-point nights for the Oil Kings. The ICE received goals from Cam Hausinger and Cole Muir. Goaltender Duncan McGovern stopped 24-of-30 shots that came his way, while Jesse Makaj, who entered the game mid-way through the middle frame in relief of McGovern, blocked the 6-of-7 shots he faced.
