Edmonton Oil Kings News Release

Edmonton, AB - Edmonton Oil Kings General Manager Bob Green announced today that the team has acquired 19 year old goalie Torrie Jung from the Lethbridge Hurricanes in exchange for a 6th round pick in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft.

Jung is entering his third year in the Western Hockey League and has played the previous 2 seasons with the Kelowna Rockets and was traded just over a week ago from from the Rockets to the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

"We're excited to add a goalie of Torrie's calibre to our roster." stated Oil Kings General Manager Bob Green. "He's played a couple of years in our league and his talent got him noticed enough to be drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning. Due to the extent of starting goalie Dalyn Flette's foot injury, we needed to make a move and we think we've got a really nice fit and quality individual with Torrie Jung."

Jung played 33 games in each of the last 2 seasons with the Kelowna where he's registered a career record of 21-27-4-8. The 6'1", 175 pound native of Nanaimo, BC will join the Oil Kings in time for tonight's game against the Vancouver Giants.
