Offense Stays Hot in Biscuits Win

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Biscuits (34-31) finished off the series with the Huntsville Stars (27-36) strong with a 8-4 win to take four-out-of-five from the Stars Tuesday night at Riverwalk Stadium.

The game went back and forth throughout but the deciding inning came in the sixth when Kyeong Kang hit a solo-shot to lead of the frame and give the Biscuits a 5-4 lead. Later in the inning, Kevin Kiermaer would drive in two runs with a single as a part of a four-run sixth to give the Biscuits an 8-4 lead.

Montgomery got on the board first with an RBI-double from Cameron Seitzer to score Mikie Mahtook. The Stars took the lead in the fourth with two runs, but the Biscuit quickly bounced back with a two-run triple from Kang to claim a 3-2 lead. Robby Price later drove in Kang with a sacrifice fly to give the Biscuitsa 4-2 lead.

Brock Kjeldgaard launched a two-run homer in the sixth to tie the game at four.

Enny Romero (5-2) earned his fifth win of the season by going six innings and allowing four runs (two earned) on four hits. Austin Hubbard, Erik Hamren and C.J. Riefenhauser combined to throw the final three scoreless-innings of the game.

The Biscuits will have the day off Wednesday before opening up a five-game series in Jacksonville with the Suns. The five-game set will wrap-up the first half. RHP Jake Thompson will start for the Biscuits while the Suns starter has not yet been announced.
