HICKORY, NC - The Intimidators snapped a three-game losing streak with a 13-hit outburst in a 4-2 win over Hickory on Sunday afternoon at L.P. Frans Stadium.

While the Intimidators were swinging hot bats all afternoon, it was two runs without a hit that proved to be the difference. Kannapolis (11-7) plated two runs in the top of the ninth to snap a 2-2 deadlock thanks to a hit batsman, two wild pitches and two errors.

Justin Greene reached off of Mark Hamburger (0-1) when he was hit by a pitch and advanced to third with two outs through a bunt and a wild pitch. Sergio Morales hit a grounder that Matt West could not handle to score Greene for the winning run.

Leftfielder Jared Bolden dropped a Jorge Castillo fly ball one batter later to extend the Intimidators lead.

Charlis Burdie (1-1) picked up the win by retiring the only six batters he faced in relief of Greg Infante. Infante went a season-high seven innings, allowing two runs, one earned, on seven hits. The right- hander also struck out five.

Kenny Williams led the offensive attack with three hits. Escobar, Castillo, Jon Gilmore and Tyler Kuhn each had two hits.

Hickory (9-9) starter Wilmer Font did not factor in the decision, lasting just 3 2/3 innings.
