PEARL, MS - Joseph Odom brought home the tying run and Johan Camargo drove in the go-ahead run in the bottom of the eighth to secure a 3-2 victory for the Mississippi Braves in game four a five-game series Sunday afternoon at Trustmark Park. The series finale against the Suns is slated for Monday at 7:00 PM.

Connor Lien led the M-Braves with a 4-for-4 night at the plate. Levi Hyams added two hits. Mississippi (2-2, 36-37) scored three runs on 11 hits. Jacksonville (2-2, 32-42) scored twice on six hits total.

The Suns took a 1-0 lead in the second when Alex Glenn tripled and scored on a Ronnie Mitchell double to right field.

In the top of the fifth, Ronnie Mitchell walked and Francisco Arcia singled to put runners at the corners. A Yefri Perez sacrifice fly brought in Mitchell to extend the Suns lead to 2-0.

The Braves responded in the bottom of the frame. Joey Meneses and Lien both reached on base hits before Dustin Peterson delivered a RBI-single to center field, cutting the Suns lead to 2-1.

Carlos Franco and Levi Hyams both singled to start the eighth. With runners at the corners, Odom delivered a game-tying single to left field. Willians Astudillo was then hit by a pitch, loading the bases with one away. Camargo then grounded into a force out, allowing Hyams to score on the play and give the M-Braves a 3-2 lead.

Neither starter factored in the decision. Lucas Sims started and worked five frames for the Braves. He held the Suns to two earned runs on three hits and three walks while fanning six batters. Kendry Flores gave up one earned run on seven hits. He struck out four in 5.2 innings of work.

Jason Hursh (2-2) was the pitcher of record and picked up the win. Madison Younginer (S, 6) came on in the ninth to notch the save. Tyler Higgins (2-3) blew the save and took the loss for Jacksonville.

In Monday night's series finale, the M-Braves send lefty Sean Newcomb (3-4, 3.96) to the hill. First pitch is slated for 7:00 PM. Gates open at 6:00 PM.
