Oaks lose ninth in a row as Nuts win their eleventh straight

Wednesday the Oaks played game three of their four game series against the Modesto Nuts. The Oak lost the first two and have dropped eight straight games, while the Nuts have won ten in a row. In game three the Oaks sent out left-hander Mike Prochaska vs. righty Juan Morillo for the Nuts.

The Nuts got off to a 1-0 lead when Jonathan Herrera hit his first homerun of the year. The Oaks countered with a solo shot of their own when John Paul Davis hit his seventh homerun of the year to tie the score at 1-1. Joe Gaetti, the son of former major leaguer Gary Gaetti and a former teammate of starter Mike Prochaska at N.C. State, hit a long homerun to left his fourteenth of the year to make it 2-1. Modesto added two in the fourth, and one more in the fifth to take a 5-1 lead. The Nuts added one more in the ninth as Tony Peguero balked in a run to make it 6-1, which would be your final.

The Oaks play game four the final game of the series on Thursday. The Oaks will send out right-hander Jeremy Flanagan vs. righty Steven Register for the Modesto Nuts.
