NYRB-D.C. United Reserve Match Set for October 6

Washington, D.C. (September 28, 2011) - D.C. United announced today that its MLS Reserve League match against the New York Red Bulls scheduled for Friday, October 7 has been pushed up to Thursday, October 6 at 3:00 p.m. ET. The contest will be played in Montclair, N.J. at Montclair State University's turf field. The club's second Reserve match with the New York Red Bulls, to be hosted by United, will be rescheduled for a later date. The contest was originally slated for Tuesday, September 13.

The Black-and-Red Reserves currently sit in second place in the East Division of the MLS Reserve League at 5-0-2 (17 points), one point behind Columbus. The Black-and-Red will have an opportunity to reclaim the top spot on Sunday, October 2, as United's Resrves are set to take on their Columbus Crew counterparts following the first team match at Crew Stadium. United's Reserves played their seventh match of the season on Tuesday, August 30 at Toronto FC, earning a 1-1 draw in the 92nd minute with a goal from Joseph Ngwenya.
