
Nuts Fall 9-2 against the Rawhide

Modesto, CA. - For the second straight night, the Modesto Nuts bats were silenced by the Visalia Rawhide. On Friday night at John Thurman Field, it lead to a 9-1 loss.
After an eight-game winning streak, the Nuts (56-48; 23-11) have dropped the first two games of their four-game set against the Rawhide (64-40; 22-12) scoring a combined three runs.
Brandon Sinnery (W, 3-0) stifled the Nuts for the Rawhide over seven innings allowing just four hits with three strikeouts and no walks. The Nuts lone run scored on Correlle Prime's RBI single after Rosell Herrera cracked a two-out triple in the seventh.
The Rawhide offense clubbed three homers and plated four unearned runs on four Nuts errors. Zach Jemiola (L, 4-3) started for the Nuts and worked 5.1 innings allowing five runs on six hits. Jose Queliz cracked a solo homer in the second. Kevin Cron opened up the game in the sixth with a three-run shot to knock Jemiola out of the ball game. Daniel Palka added a two-run homer in the seventh off reliever Matt Pierpont.
