San Bernardino, CA- The Inland Empire 66ers used a six-run fourth inning to springboard themselves to a 11-4 win over the Bakersfield Blaze at San Manuel Stadium on Friday. The victory was the Sixers fourth straight and got the club back to .500 on the season at 51-51 and 16-16 in the second half.

The Blaze (37-67, 11-23) had a short-lived 1-0 led in the top of the third when Nelson Ward tripled off IE starter Jordan Kipper. Tim Lopes knocked Ward in with a sac fly. Bakersfield added two more in the top of the seventh to make it 7-4 but reliever Harrison Cooney ended the threat when he got Tim Lopes to bounce out back to the mound.

Inland Empire iced the game in the bottom of the seventh with four runs. Daniel tagged his second two-run double of the night and Bo Way had an RBI single to cap the scoring and make it 11-4. Way had great night. The Brunswick, GA native had four hits including one of six Inland Empire doubles matching a season high. He also knocked in three and stole a base.
