Nuts Fall 6-5 to Blaze

Modesto, CA. - In the finale of a three-game set, the Modesto Nuts fell 6-5 against the Bakersfield Blaze on Sunday night at John Thurman Field.

The Blaze (49-70; 23-26) broke a ninth-inning tie when Chantz Mack lifted a sac fly out to center off Nuts (62-57; 29-20) reliever Troy Neiman (L, 3-2).

Kyle Schepel (W, 1-3) recorded the final four outs for the Blaze out of the bullpen.

Correlle Prime drove in a pair of runs for the Nuts. Ashley Graeter scored once and recorded two hits. Dillon Thomas went 2-for-5. Drew Weeks drove in a run and went 3-for-5.

Johendi Jiminan started for the Nuts and lasted four innings allowing four runs on six hits.
