This series marks the final regular season meeting between San Jose and Stockton.
Homestand Review
The Giants posted a 3-3 record during their six-game homestand that concluded last night. San Jose picked-up one victory in three games against the Visalia Rawhide to begin the homestand before taking two out of three versus the Lancaster JetHawks last weekend. The Giants lost their first two games of the homestand before winning three out of the last four contests. San Jose is 16-5 in their last 21 home games overall dating back to July 7.

San Jose currently boasts the lowest team ERA in the California League at 3.50. The Giants also lead all of Minor League Baseball in strikeouts (1146, 9.6 per game). San Jose's 11 shutouts this season are second in the league (Visalia leads with 13). San Jose owns a 2.75 team ERA since the beginning of July (27-17 record).

In The Standings
The Giants (29-20) are tied for second with Modesto in the second half North Division standings - one game behind Visalia (30-19) for the top spot. San Jose does not have any games remaining this season against the Rawhide. The Giants (59-60) are also just one game behind Stockton (60-59) for the final Wild Card spot. Including tonight, 21 games remain in the regular season. San Jose has qualified for the playoffs in 10 out of the last 11 seasons.

He hit .300 in the first half (27 games) and is batting at a .328 clip since the All-Star break (44 games).
