Wichita Wingnuts News Release
WICHITA, KS- The Wingnuts fought back from an 8-1 deficit but fell just short, losing 9-8 to the Sioux Falls Canaries on Tuesday night at Lawrence Dumont Stadium.
Sioux Falls built their lead after 3 1/2 innings before the Wingnuts came back, thanks to home runs by Chris Colton and Brenan Herrera. Ultimately it was an unearned run in the top of the ninth that was the difference. Jeff Stevens hit a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth for Wichita.
The Wingnuts will wrap up their inaugural season this Thursday, Friday and Saturday with a three-game home set versus the Lincoln Saltdogs. For tickets call the Wingnuts office at (316) 264-4625.
