1B Patrick Reilly's ninth inning double down the right field line scored Beau Torbert from second base and gave the Sioux Falls Canaries a 3-2 win at Wichita. The Canaries used solo homers from LF JD Reininger and C Paul Smyth to build a 2-0 lead after five innings of play before Wichita tied the game on DH Vic Davilla's two-run shot in the bottom of the sixth. Pat Mahomes showed his early season form in pitching eight innings and allowing just two earned runs. He got the win and improved to 10-6. Kris Regas gave up a hit but struck out three in the ninth to earn save number 28.

Pensacola 10, Sioux City 4

Pensacola blew open a close game with four runs in the seventh inning and three in the eighth to beat Sioux City 10-4. Eight Pelican starters had at least one hit in the contest with seven different batters driving in at least one run. Pensacola's bullpen was the difference in the game as four relievers each pitched a scoreless inning. That allowed Pensacola's offense to comeback from a 4-3 deficit and earn Donny Langdon his fourth win the season. Sioux City's Ty Marotz gave up two earned runs in 1 1/3 innings and took the loss to fall to 3-5 on the year.

Lincoln 7, St. Paul 1

HR: LIN- Shea McFeely (4); STP- Kevin Sullivan (10)
Lincoln 3B Shea McFeely homered, drove in two runs, and scored three times to lead the Saltdogs past St. Paul 7-1. He was helped by SS Albenis Machado who doubled twice and drove in three runs as part of a 2-for-3 night. Lincoln starter Brian Campbell allowed seven hits in six innings pitched and got the win to up his mark to 9-4. Saints C Kevin Sullivan went 3-for-4 with a solo homer, the only run of the game for St. Paul. The win pulled Lincoln within 1.5 games of Sioux City for first place in the North Division standings.

El Paso 1, Shreveport 0 (Suspended - Bottom 3)
@ Shreveport, LA
The game between El Paso and Shreveport was suspended due to rain with El Paso leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third inning. It will be completed Tuesday August 19th with play resuming at 5:05PM. The suspended game will be a nine inning game followed by the regularly scheduled game which will be a seven inning game.

The game between Grand Prairie and Fort Worth was postponed due to rain. It will be played Tuesday August 19th as part of a doubleheader consisting of two seven inning games, beginning at 5:05PM.
