FARGO - The Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks scored four unanswered runs to defeat the Edmonton Cracker-Cats 4-3 at Newman Outdoor Field.

The RedHawks scored three runs in the fifth inning and one in the sixth to overcome a 3-0 deficit. Six straight RedHawks reached base in the three-run fifth, keyed by Richard Auston's two-run double and Ruben Salazar's game-tying single. In the sixth, a pair of single set the sstage for the Brent Krause's sacrifice fly that game Fargo-Moorhead a 4-3 lead.

Mark Michael (4-0) and two RedHawks relievers did not allow an earned run in the game, scattering six Edmonton hits. Michael pitched six innings before yielding to Josh Gray, who worked two innings to set up Brian Adams for his sixth save.

JOLIET - Chris Curry hit two home runs to lead the Gary SouthShore RailCats to an 8-2 victory over the Joliet JackHammers at Silver Cross Field.

Curry's two-run homer in the second inning broke a 1-1 tie. Alex Taylor followed with a solo shot, his first home run in his two seasons with the RailCats, to put Gary ahead 4-1.

Curry also delivered an opposite field homer in the fifth, his fifth homer of the season, to give the RailCats a 7-2 lead.

RailCats starting pitcher Jason Shelley (3-2) beat his former club for the second time in the month of June. Shelley worked five and two-thirds innings, yielding seven hits and two runs with one walk and five strikeouts.

Tanner Townsend had three hits and scored two runs for the RailCats as part of a 13-hit attack. Taylor also had three hits.

The win was the RailCats' eighth in their last 12 games.

SCHAUMBURG - Pat Magness' ninth-inning solo homer lifted the Kansas City T-Bones to a 2-1 victory over the Schaumburg Flyers at Alexian Field.

Magness pounded a Dan Jackson (2-1) offering over the left-center field wall to enable the T-Bones to salvage the final game of a three-game series.

James Morrison (1-0) earned the victory after getting Nelson Gord to ground into a 6-4-3 double-play to end Schaumburg's bases-loaded threat in the bottom of the eighth inning, setting the stage for Magness' heroics in the ninth.

Byron Embry struck out the side in the ninth for his fourth save of the season.

All three games in the series were decided in the winning team's final at-bat.
