Austin Bruins News Release
Blaine, MN- The 8th annual North American Hockey League Showcase continued today as the Austin Bruins faced off against the 2010 North Division Champions, the Traverse City North Stars.
Unfortunately for Austin, there was no carry over from yesterday. Traverse City got things started with a goal from Jordan Van Wormer in the first period. The Bruins failed to score, even though they peppered goaltender Tyler Marble with 42 shots. Tyler Marble has yet to give up a goal, after two games in the showcase.
The Bruins are in action again tomorrow morning as they take on the Janesville Jets at 10:15. On Saturday morning the Bruins take on the Texas Tornado at 9:15. The Bruins home opener is slated for October 2nd as they take on division rivals, the Owatonna Express.
