Pittsfield Suns News Release

The North Shore Navigators (27-29) jumped on the Pittsfield Suns (26-28) early on their way to a 6-1 win on Friday in seven innings, scoring four runs in the first inning. The North Shore Navigators scored in the first on an RBI double by Cameron Hanley, a two-run double by Sean ONeill, and a sacrifice fly by Justin Peluso.

Hanley had a busy day at the plate, collecting three extra-base hits.

The Pittsfield Suns couldn't get anything going so long as Mike Weisman was on the hill. Weisman gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Dave Egeland (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
