North Carolina Football Club Partners with Reed and Feed and NCFC Youth for Food Drive

Cary, NC - The North Carolina Football Club and NCFC Youth will co-host a food drive from October 14-22 to collect food items for local non-profit Reed and Feed. Collection boxes will be posted at WakeMed Soccer Park and WRAL Soccer Park to collect items for a goal of 400 treat bags which include a canned protein, canned vegetable, noodle cup, healthy snack, and 100% juice box.
Reed and Feed is a program that aims to bridge the reading gap by providing children the resources they may not have access to at home including books and food. North Carolina FC players were special guest readers for the program for the month of October. The main food items Reed and Feed is in need of are canned proteins, canned fruit, healthy snacks, canned vegetables, squeezable applesauce, and 100% juice boxes.
The WakeMed Soccer Park drop box will be located in front of the box office and labeled with a "B". The drop off times are listed below:
Wednesday, October 14, 8-10am
Thursday, October 15, 8-10am
Friday, October 16, 8-10am
Monday, October 19, 4-5pm
Tuesday, October 20, 4-5pm
Wednesday, October 21, 4-5pm
Thursday, October 22, 4-5pm
The WRAL Soccer Park drop box will be located under the awning of the clubhouse (see map). Food donations will be accepted Wednesday, October 14 through Thursday, October 22. In addition, NCFC Youth will be hosting collections on specific nights at various facilities around their service area to reach families in Cary, Chapel Hill, Durham, Garner, Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina, Raleigh, and Wendell.
