Avalanche starter Ronnie Martinez allowed two earned runs or less for an eighth consecutive start only to lose again in a 2-1 defeat at the hands of the Winston-Salem Warthogs.
Martinez, who has allowed five earned runs in his four losses, fell to 2-4 on the season.
The Avalanche left eight men on but did have good offensive nights from LF Beau Torbert who was 3-for-5 and Neil Sellers who hit his first home run of the season.
The Avalanche continue their three-game series with Winston-Salem Friday Night at 7:07 PM. It will be "Family Night" at the ballpark presented by US Cellular and Star Country.
